Ello is great, I took a portrait of their entire design team right before they launched.
What I take away from Dave's points is that while yes IG is an addictive medium, there are ways to use it for good and in healthier ways. In the audio component you can hear him speak about how he is able to leverage his large audience to shine a light on deserving artists who may not have a big audience yet, for example.
I think there is validity to both approaches, both your approach of avoiding IG altogether, and Dave's approach to use it carefully and for good. As long as everyone is conscious of what works for them and what doesn't and can take the approach that best suits them, I think it's all good.
Thanks for reading Chuck, appreciate your take on it too!
I absolutely hear you in those complaints re: IG. In many ways me starting Process was born out of the desire to peel myself off of social media as my only channel. Like Dave says in the audio interview it's much better to own the land you build on rather than to be renting space.
