What an amazing adventure (in more ways than one: the world can be such a small place) and the shots are beautiful.

I’ve always secretly wanted to explore the Badlands. Maybe someday (I’m not likely to travel back to my homeland anytime soon…). In the meantime, your images redouble my interest in a visit.

It’s so cool you had a great guide to take you around and provide backstories.

the closest I got was probably about 20 feet, which I do not recommend and was not the plan (but they moved closer to me that I had anticipated), and I was standing next to the car in an open door so I could have ducked in had I needed to
