Oh so true.

The life of a photographer is about providing solutions.

How we get to those solutions is the heart of professionalism.

Clients want results, and we have to provide.

Great article, Wesley. A reminder that we have to stay sharp out there.

Nice work and cool cabin. And you handled the sensor problem well. Hate it when that happens.

Oh I know. I can think way back about things I forgot to take on a shoot, forgot to put film in the camera, had the wrong film, got sick on a shoot, and on and on. But you got it done!

forgot to put film in is particularly brutal. I did it once with a half-frame camera, which means 72 shots I thought I took but didn't haha

Cool post, Wesley. Like how you turned your 'mistake' into a creative shot. Like a famous poet once said: "Elk nadeel heb z'n voordeel"

I find it souds even better in Dutch. "In de beperking toont zich pas de meester." But then that is what I speak daily.

This is a good reminder for me. Goethe has an expression: "Only in limitation does the master reveal himself." This is a textbook example of this. I'm in awe.
