Process 042 ☼ Editorial Portraits with the Mamiya 645 Pro in the Studio with Ribsy
Giveaway: New Classic Film pack
Dear friends,
Today’s issue will be more show than tell thanks to my friend Ribsy who turned his video camera on a recent editorial shoot with a single continuous light in the studio.
For this week’s giveaway we have a 3-pack of New Classic EZ400 black and white film.
An Editorial Shoot In The Studio
Ribsy and I have been friends over the interwebs for quite some time but had never met in person before this shoot. It was such a treat to work and spend time together.
I could type up a bunch of stuff about what we did, which cameras were used, and how I love using continuous light, but Ribsy captured it all on video so without further ado I’d invite you to click below and enjoy.
Here are some of my favorite images from this shoot. More are included in the video.
This shoot took place at the wonderful Studio 13 in Amsterdam. Our models were Niina and Dave. The film stocks used were Kodak Tri-X 400, Kodak Portra 400, Kodak Portra 400VC, Kodak GPX Ektacolor Pro Gold 160, and Fujifilm Pro 160S. Cameras used were Pentax 67ii, Mamiya 645 Pro, the Fuji x100F, and one secret new something something I can’t talk about yet but you’ll see results from that one in the next issue.
All film was developed and scanned by my friends at Carmencita Film Lab. Use code “PROCESS” at check out to get a free size upgrade for your scans. Carmencita accepts film from anywhere in the world and I love working with them. Thank you CFL team!
Alright that’s it for this week! I hope you enjoyed this video collaboration with Ribsy.
The next issue of Process will arrive much sooner than you’re used to, in just a day or two, for an exciting reason. One of my favorite film companies is announcing a new analog product and commissioned me to test it as part of the shoot above. I am beyond excited to share the results with you!
Keep shooting and take good care of yourselves and others.
Wesley
